I wan tto make a portal that can allow users to view my records WITH their relationships - Is there a way to do this? Do portals have the power to view an object and all the records related to that object? If so how do I make it smottoh so they can edit a record and it's related records seemlessly.
Yes this can be done. Please let us know which Objects portal users should be able to see.
If you want Portal users to be able to login to see only the information associated with their record, you will need to enable the Portal Visitor attribute on the object that represents the Portal user.
In your case I recommend enabling the Portal Visitor attribute on the Customer object. Then we can help you configure the portal to ensure portal visitors (i.e. your Customers) are required to login to view and edit their data and related data.
