computername\sharedfolder\resource
Nathan,
I have not tested this but if the java class File allows you to do this then it should be possible.
Have you found anything out yet?
I do not believe the File class supports files on remote servers. I did try to pick up a local file, and I got an error because the extension was not *.pickup. I am dissappointed that it cannot handle a local file with any file extension. When I test ot the remote file, I'll post here, but I doubt it is going to work.
Nathan,
What version of the ESB and file drop servicer are you using?
David
File mask is defined by element within pickup instruction file. I've used SonicESB 7.0-7.5.1 which allowed me to pickup files regadless of their extensions.
I have just checked this with ver7.5.1 and it was fine. I could pick up from and drop to
pcname\somesharedfolder without problems.
Viatcheslav,
You are correct, I was able to pick up files with any extension. That is great news that you were able to drop a file to a share folder. Hopefully it will work with my version (7.0).
Thanks!
Nathan
