We are looking at a project where we will transfer large files across WAN and we are investigating a messaging solution for this. I have read the SonicMQ programming guide and see it has support for Large Messages using an out of band RecoverableFileChannel. The documentation indicates it is a peer-to-peer connection similar to FTP. What exactly is the transport protocol in the FileChannel and what role does the broker play in this out of band transfer? For instance is there an intermediary connection between the file sender/broker/file receiver? Any additional information regarding the specifics of this would be appreciated.
