We are in the midst of a project go-live, and are currently on 8.0, but are considering doing the 8.5 upgrade before hand. We may have some projects that have to remain in 8.0, so we were wondering has anyone had to integrate 8.0 Sonic services/processes into and 8.5 environment? Does it work? Do the 8.0 services/processes have to be in separate 8.0 containers, while the 8.5 services/processes are in 8.5 containers? Thanks.
Yes, 8.0 services must be in 8.0 containers, and 8.5 services must be in 8.5 containers.
8.0 and 8.5 services can both run against 8.5 brokers, 8.0 and 8.5 containers can both run against 8.5 Domain Manager.
The Domain must be upgraded to 8.5, and 8.0 containers and services are supported in an 8.5 Domain.
8.5 services and containers cannot be run against older 8.0 brokers and DomainManager.
