We have a Sonic installation and application that needs to be deployed to several Linux Servers in different locations. The Installation is standard and our Linux support team say the easiest way to do this is to copy the install directory.
Is this a reasonable approach?
What will need to be changed as a result (and where are they found)?
- Sonic license codes
- Sonic Configuration files
For example, <Sonic_Root>/Containers/container.ini needs the host name changed.
Thanks
Steve
Sonic Deployment Manager would be the recommended approach.
Thanks Ronald
We certtainly plan to use deployment manager for installation and updating the application.
What I'm asking here is about the initial domain installation of Sonic ESB and MQ and the base domain and container configuration.
Regards
Steve
A silent/unattended install that doesn't configure the Domain Manager followed by the use of SDM to create the base domain and container configurations would be my suggestion.
