AutoEdge DB with Progress

Has PSC considered distributing a copy of the AutoEdge database with regular Progress distributions in addition to or in place of sports? While the AutoEdge schema has some limitations, it is certainly more interesting than the sports schema and it would be nice to be able to distribute sample code against that schema as an option.

If not that, and certainly in the meantime, how about putting up a link on PSDN where once can download just the database ... preferably with the auto-refresh options in the full download?

Hi Thomas

We did consider it, but we feel that PSDN gives us more flexibility and immediacy and is a better vehicle for us. As for your other suggestion, that might be something to look at.

Please do ... sports is really a weak baseline for examples. Except that people are used to it, I would vote for retiring it in favor of AutoEdge or some other database with more sophistication. It reminds me of something one would get with dBase!
