I have just published the initial public release of a UML Profile for ABL. This is intended to be a step toward a definition of an open standard which will facilitate the development of UML modeling tools for use with ABL. The initial draft covers the core aspects of the database and the structures of the ABL language. This is not confined to OOABL, but rather is intended for use in the analysis and transformation of existing ABL applications, no matter how legacy. Additional aspects of this initial body of work are documented with the initial release and additional tools to support this standard are in the planning stages.
