Install AutoEdge on OpenEdge10.2A

Hi

Have anyone installed AutoEdge1.2.2 on OpenEdge10.2A? I have OE10.2A installed on my machine, but I couldn't get AE1.2 installed. I think AE2.0 may do, but there is no documentation(livedoc) for it.

The AutoEdge 2.0 release is targeted for OpenEdge 10.2A where the previous AutoEdge versions were targeted for OpenEdge 10.0A-10.1C if memory serves. I cannot remember if we put in an installer test for 10.2A with the latest AutoEdge 1.2. Given our backwards compatibility record, AutoEdge 1.2 should run fine with OpenEdge 10.2A as-is.

Hi Frank,

Thanks for your comments. I think AE1.2 is not compatible with OE10.2A. When I tried to installed, I got "This version of AutoEdge requires OpenEdge10.1A01 or higher. I don't wanna install AE2.0 since it's still work in progress and there is no livedoc avail???.

Well, you might want to try the 'version workaround' I have posted with the GUI Enhancement project which might fool the installer into thingking you have 10.1C or something supported installed.
