Re: Progress Who ?

How about this:

http://web.progress.com/en/inthenews/progress174-opene-01262010.html

also there is a new study just out from Forrester on the Total Economic Impact of OpenEdge.

The basic high level factoids are:

1)    Developing with OpenEdge was shown to be 40% more productive then alternative platforms

2)    ISVs choosing OpenEdge are able to deliver their application 30% faster to market then when using an alternative platform

3)    Once deployed the support staff productivity gain is 80% as compared to alternative platforms

(I also cross posted to the PEG)

Mike, I have no access to the Forrester document (http://communities.progress.com/pcom/docs/DOC-103849).

Should I? Can I get that information somewhere else?

The original link I just posted is actually a temporary link, which I didn't realize until I hit the submit button on the reply!  The actual public link will be available shortly, so once I have it I'll let you know.  It could be later today.

That one is from 2006.  The one Mike referred to is from January 2010.

So, back to Mike, I guess, to come up with the right link.

And, why is this in a Partner's only area so that ordinary folk can't get to it?

Ok.  I'm told by Marketing that this will be available on www.progress.com, but probably not before next Tuesday.

I.e., same as the one I already posted.  If there is a 2010 version,  this isn't it.

Did you try the link?  I get a 2010 paper.

I was responding expecting this to be the same as the first link on PEG, but I guess you corrected it here before correcting it there ... or were you just sneaky and editted your post?
