Openedge upgrade from 10.2B05 to 10.2B08 or 11.X

For windows 10 upgrade, we are planning to upgrade openedge from 10.2B05 to 10.2B08 or 11.X.  Can we upgrade client to 10.2B08 or 11.X first?  Then, upgrade the database to 10.2B08 or 11.X.

I am searching the openedge compatibility matrix but not found.  So, I have question about the steps for Openedge upgrade.  Also, I have no idea which version is more appropriate.

If you have any experience about the upgrade, please kindly share with me.  Thanks.

Moving from 10.2B05 to 10.2B08 isn't an upgrade, it's just a service pack installation.  I recommend against a plan that moves you to 10.2B08 as a final destination.  OpenEdge 12.0 will be out early next year, and 10.2B08 will likely enter retired status at that point.  You should be thinking about upgrading to 11.7, with whatever service pack is current at the time.  Currently it is 11.7.3; 11.7.4 is due later this year, probably Q4.

It is possible to connect an 11.x client to a 10.x database.  But the database upgrade from v10 to v11 doesn't take too long so you shouldn't need to do so for long, if at all.
