My colleague and I are trying to configure a Merant 3.6 ODBC driver on a win95 client. We are trying to connect to a 8.3b database on Unix AIX 4.33. What do we need to do on the client side and the server side? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I used Knowledge base document #17204. It helped mostly,
what I struggled with is, you need to be sure you have TWO services running
on the Unix system 1 for the ODBC broker and one for the database server.
And that requires the DB server be started with the -H, -S, and -N options.
I my case I had to change my .pf file, shutdown and restart the database server.

shots of the Merant set up.
