Using MSAccess To link into MFG-Pro

Posted by LegacyUser on 09-Nov-2001 10:50

Not really sure if this is the proper forum for this, but I will give it a shot. My understanding is that the underlying Database of MFG-Pro is Progress. I wondering if it is possible to use MS Access to Link into MFG Pro files. A) What type of ODBC driver do I need. B) Does it matter which version of MFG-Pro I am using. C) Are there any potential issues associated with affecting the mfg-pro files by linking them into MS Access. As I am just a finance guy so you will have to go easy with me on the terminology. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi Phil,

This is actually not a reply but a request to share you knowledge on this issue.

I am also faced with a similar situation, and I don't know how I can link a

simple Access database to Progress databases. I have tried the supplied odbc

driver in progress without success. Please mail me when you've got a response.

Thanks in adveance.
