after migrating nt-server to w2k-server, re-installing progress and application
problems with lk-file. ProControl gives error "can't find lk-file"
indeed the lk-file disappears as soon as bi-file is truncated.
i'm no progress-expert, but need urgent help...
lk-file appears when you start a database,
and disappears when you close a database.
so I think that maybe you didnt start your database server.

I think it is permissions, the windows user trying to start the database does not have permission to create files (eg .lk file) make sure you log in to windows as the administrator.
If the above is true then go in to Start/Controll Panell/admin tools choose services choose double click on "Proservice for 91D" and go to the log on section choose "this account" and put in the log in details for the administrator.
Let me know how you get on.
