Progress 9.1D on Sun Netra X4270

Having an issue trying to install Progress 9.1D on a Solaris x86 server running Solaris 10.  I am receiving an error that _ovrly cannot execute.  This happened after I copied everything from a Sun Fire 280R SPARC to the Sun Netra X4270.  I tried to start the database and I get this error, _mprosrv: cannot execute.  Please help. Thanks.

Still looking for a solution?

I'm pretty sure that the Sun Netra is Intel based and not Sparc based. You wont be able to just copy the database from the old server to the new one. You most likely have to do what's known as a dump & load procedure. You can search the psdn and the knowledge base for more information about that.

Also: you can't copy the binaries, you have to make a complete install on the new server. Possibly with new licenses (you can always transfer the licenses from one platform to another). Thinking of it I'm not even 100% sure if Progress works on Solaris on Intel: contact your local Progress support!
