enable autostart for PASOE instance

Posted by rajivramarao on 06-Feb-2020 12:48

Hi,

How to enable autostart of an instance when created from PROENV ?

There is a check-box available in OEM. Could not find command to enable/disable autostart of the instance using command tools...

Regards

Rajiv

No these two are not same. Setting autostart from OEM does not register the instance as windows service.

Hi Rajiv,

There is no support to enable/disable autostart from tcman.

Thanks,

Vinod

Hi Rajiv,

If this is on Windows, you can use the tcman command to register the instance as a Windows service then set that service to auto start.

Yes, adding to Brian. Update psc.as.service property to true in <PasInstanceDir>\conf\appserver.properties file to make it start as a service. and set the pas service in windows service editor to be auto to autostart on startup of machine

I wouldn’t directly update that setting as I don’t think it builds the service definition.  Follow this article instead… knowledgebase.progress.com/.../How-to-set-up-a-PAS-for-OE-instance-to-be-run-as-registered-or-unregistered-as-a-service
