Developer Studio hangs up when trying to edit an PASOE ABL S

Hi together,

I have a problem with my Progress Developer Studio 4.5.2 OpenEdge Release 11.7.4.

When I'm trying to edit my Service for e.g. adding a Business Entity or anything the window which opens hangs up completely. Also when I'm waiting till the next day the program get no response.

Here is the error message:

Only after start and close the clean version and then ne normal Developer Studio I'm able to edit the Service once! If i try it a second time I get no response. No matter about the service is added to an Application Server or not.

Any ideas?

Hi Dennis,

Can you try the following...

First, open a proenv command prompt and cd to the installation directory (%DLC%) then cd to the oeide directory then run ‘integrateArchitect.bat -update’.

Second, make a copy of the DeveloperStudio icon and add ‘-clearPersistedState’ at the end of the command line.

Third, try your task again.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the answer, I run ‘integrateArchitect.bat -update’ and add ‘-clearPersistedState’.

First time the update of the Service works. Second time no response.

Here is the error message.

Hi Dennis,

Can you open a support case for this and attach the file named ‘.log’ which is located inside of the ‘.metadata’ directory of your workspace.

We will need to do a more in-depth analysis on this one.

Hi Brian,

where can I do this? Directly in the Developer Studio?

Select Help in the menu bar then Report Technical Issue.

You can also login to your SupportLink account (assuming you have requested one) and log a case there.
