Can someone advise the best way for shortening of links? Let me give an example from progress; when you click progress.co/2uSk5Nq it takes you to https://reg.abcsignup.com/reg/event_page.aspx?ek=0040-0020-773e85faa09f4e46909f6304246b93fe. We have a bunch of such links that we send out to our downstream systems which are too long and we wanted to have a shorter version of the same. What would be the best way to approach this issue?
Not sure because I might not have all details, but I am thinking about an appserver process that can be handed a short link or code and gives back the full URL. As a bonus you can keep track on how often an URL is called for.
