Change template for ABLDoc in classes and procedure files

Posted by Johan Vergeer on 07-Jun-2017 07:24

Hi guys,

I would like to make some changes to the ABLDoc that is generated when a new class or procedure file is created.

Does anyone know where this can be done?

Thanks in advance

Hello Johan,

If you are looking for customizing  default ABLDoc template, then following documentation and whitepaper might help:

documentation.progress.com/.../index.html

community.progress.com/.../1957

Hope this helps,

There is Help available on this

The  templates etc are in %DLC%\oeide\eclipse\plugins\com.progress.openedge.pdt.abldoc.core._version\abldoc-artifacts

As far as I can see this documentation is about generating ABLDoc from existing code.

What I was looking for is a way to customize the templates that are used when a new Procedure or Class file is generated.

For example when we would like to use Java style comments.

Also, when we use the wizard to create, for example, an internal procedure, function or method, there already is a stub in place, which we would like to change so it would match our needs better.

Best regards,

Johan
