Why would enabling auditing cause error 3244?

Hi all,

I've enabled auditing on an OpenEdge 10.2b database.  It works fine but since enabling auditing we're getting an error:

Unable to create schema information for temp table xxx (3244)

According to the knowledge base this suggests that the number of temp table is exceeding the maximum 32,767.

I don't see how enabling auditing can cause this?

Further info - I read that error 3244 can be caused by index issues so ran idxfix on the relevant table.  It didn't find any issues and didn't fix anything.
