Browse blue line of selected row is gone in OE11

Posted by hans@netsetup.nl on 19-May-2016 03:31

We are upgrading from OE10.2B to OE11.6

All browsers did show the selected row as a blue bar

This seems to be changed to a grey line.

Could not find any startup parameter to get the old (10.2B) behavior back in 11.6.

Any idea how to solve this?

regards,

Hans

Ah Marko got there first!

Note: It's an either/or solution, you can't mix behaviour in the same session. We had the same issue at my last job and in the end decided that actually the context sensitive highlight was more flexible as we didn't have to worry about unreadable text. The 'blue' highlight actually comes from the Windows look and feel settings, and it was possible for a user to select a colour that left the browse contents unreadable in certain cases.

thanks,
so not a startup parameter, but an .ini file solution.

thanks.

indeed we will discuss internally the 2 options we have:
- keep old look and feel
- take advantage of new look and feel

Some applications use color to indicate status and that information wasn't visible in selected rows. The gray bar is actually not gray - it's a darker shade of each cell's background color. White cells become gray, red cells become a darker red, etc.
