A quick google suggests this is something to do with Maven?

I assume he is referring to the pom.xml for Maven ( maven.apache.org/pom.html ). Many years ago Professional Services had something called Service Delivery Platform (SDP) that used that. Not sure if José is referring to that though.

Oh yes ;)   We were using Maven to manage the dependencies of  our projets, mainly for Java stuff (Sonic cutom services, Actional interceptors and plugins, Adaptris and Savion stuf).

The .NET world does that with Nuget now.
