I need to set a default column for searching

Any way to set a selected column programatically when column searching is set? I need to set a default column after a query is opened.

Applying ENTRY to the column handle doesn't seem to work.

Hmmm... applying the "start-search" works for me as long as no other events happen after that.

What version of OE are you running?

BTW, my browser is not editable. I think the KB is for editable browser.

The browser must be editable.  You can set the columns to read-only if you do not need cell level editing.
