PDSOE 11.5: Does it support Telerik WPF UI controls?

Posted by Rom Elwell on 22-Jan-2015 12:29

As the title indicates, I'm trying to ascertain if PDSOE 11.5 supports the Telerik WPF UI controls.  If not, does anyone know if adding support for more than WinForm controls is on the PDSOE roadmap?  Thanks in advance.

Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge (and ABL GUI4.NET) only supports WinForms controls from any vendor.  It does not support WPF controls.

If you are looking for a WPF-style interface, I have read that this is one interesting feature of Telerik UI for WinForms-- there is a "look and feel" or style called TPF (Telerik Presentation Framework)  to enable this:

As to roadmap it is impossible to say but the .NET bridge used for WinForms is not easily converter to WPF -- this is not something that works for 11.5.
