Omitting outer JSON element via REST adapter

When creating a bit of JSON from a temp-table using WRITE-JSON, we have the option to omit the outermost element.

Is there a way to do this when it's the REST adapter that's doing the transcoding?

No, there is no other way to omit it for a temp-table.
