Well Progress is about to acquire Telerik. So someone has to ask.
Will this have any consequence on the OpenEdge UltraControls? Will they remain available and supported both for existing and new customers?
Can we expect a second package soon? Telerik Controls for GUI for .NET? As Telerik will be a Progress company, maybe even included in the PSDN license? As no 3rd parties are involved anymore?

All great thoughts and questions. At this time there is no change to the licencing of the UltraControls.
The Telerik controls are already in use by several partners using GUI for .NET and our support of Telerik controls will continue. We will keep you informed of any product packaging changes in the future.

I have just taken GREAT pleasure welcoming our .Net development team (who use Telerik controls) to the Progress Development team. There's been quite a history of banter between the teams. Very amusing indeed! :D
I hope the integration Will not only include the winform controls ... They have Nice controls that van be used in the mobile app builder and maybe Some controls for improving the web frontend of rollbase !
