Is it possible to automate/trigger the button 'Import settings' from Project properties / Progress OpenEdge / Custom ?

Yes. When you do an export, it generates a custom.xml file. If this file is in the directory when the project is created, the settings will be imported automatically. This means the new project directory will need to already contain the custom.xml before creating or importing the project.

When I do 'Share Settings' from: Project properties / Progress OpenEdge / Custom ...
it generates a project.xml in the root of the project. Is this the custom.xml you refer to?
In a new workspace, when importing this project, the settings from project.xml are not imported. For example the project.xml contains the Assemblies location. Those are initially empty in "Project properties / Progress OpenEdge / Assemblies", but are imported after I press 'Import settings'.
Or did I misunderstood you?
