There are a couple of MDA-related project proposals on eclipse.org that may be of interest to people.

They look ok. I suppose the issue is that there are now SO MANY of these and they are all different. so yes, while you can draw in UML1.4 or UML2, there is no guarantee that what you do will work in more than one tool . Check out one of my favourite sites ... http://www.codegeneration.net/

Given that both are at the proposal stage, it seems likely that neither will be of much practical use any time soon.

Yeah ... I'd also like to see what NetBeans is up to. I saw their new 5.5 beta with BPEL in it and it looks cool.

Of course, Netbeans is unlikely to be generating ABL ...

Once Progress get the ABL running in a JVM (fingers crossed) hopefully that won't be an issue. Apparently, according to SUN, the JVM is becoming the VM and it will soon run things like Ruby, Python etc. So its basically trying to become a "better" CLR (the .NET thing). so, ABL on the VM with Java --> Eclipse or NetBeans (or vi ...) --> Power!!!!! > Sales --> Cash --> Happy customers, happy PSC and happy developers.

PS I wish I'd thought of youtube and sold it for $1.6B

I wouldn't make your plans based on the idea of PSC buying in as an early adopter on the concept of All The World Is Java.

The new VM isn't only Java. Also, Java runs on UNIX - .NET doesn't (and mono doesn't count because as soon as it makes $$$ it will get killed off)
