[icf-dev] Error running repository maintenance tool

Posted by LegacyUser on 20-Aug-2002 03:17

Hi,

I downloaded the latest version of dynamics 2 using a complete checkout

in WinCVS yesterday morning and did a complete compile using the PBUILD

utility. I created a new repository database using the

src/icf/db/icf/dfd/icfdbfull.df and loaded the sequence values using the

file src/icf/db/icf/dump/_icfdb_seqvals and loaded all .d files from the

src/icf/db/icg/dump directory.

I have no problem running most of the dynamics tools (including new

tools like the container builder).

Only (?) the repository maintenace tool does not work at all. When I run

it from the appbuilder menu (build) I get the nasty "OK to quit

AppBuilder?" message. When I run it from the dynamic launcher the

waiting clock is shown for a while but nothing else.

As this ended up with no success I loaded all (819) .ado files.

Am I missing anything? ADO or sourcecode? Or is this a known bug? Any

help appreciated.

Best regards,

Mike

Mike,

Are you running Appserver? If so, what do your client and server session

settings look like (in your .xml file)? Are you sure you're running on the

latest ADM2 stuff (PROPATH)?

Also, although this may not be relevant to the issue you're experiencing,

you'll have to set your site number.

Regards,

Neil

Hi Mike,

That is what we are running on too and the problem is not seen with the

latest download as of this morning.

The only thing I can think of is to maybe do a complete new download of

POSSE MAIN and a fresh PBUILD.

Hi,

I did a new checkout of module posseall with the default branch and a

complete compile using PBUILD.

I am using the default icfconfig.xml file of this version. I am starting

using the ICFDef sessiontype without AppServer connection.

I found the European numeric-format as the cause of this error. If I

change the numeric-format before starting the repository maintenance

tools using session:numeric-format = "American" in a procedure editor I

am able to run the tool! Setting the value back to "European" prevents

the tool from being started again. I will log an issue.

I use the European numeric format as a setting in my startup.pf file as

I guess many Europoean customers are doing.

Thanks for any hint's about session setting.
