I was wondering if anyone could clarify a question that I have about the
tags being used within WinCVS. My understanding is that the tag POSSE_30
will give me the code as of the code freeze for the commercial ship of
Dynamics 2.0.
Is there a similar tag placed against other projects (e.g. ADM2, Appbuilder,
etc) that will give me the code as of the Dynamics code freeze? The reason
for this is that if I download POSSEALL - then I will get the current
development for ADM2, AppBuilder, etc - which is now being modified for the
next release of Progress/Dynamics. If I don't down-load these projects
(i.e. POSSEALL) at exactly the right moment in time - I cannot in the future
reconstitute the supporting projects for Dynamics 2.0.
This would also be true if I wanted to download all of the relevant code for
Dynamics 1.1, 1.0, etc.
Am I missing something - or is what I have described how this works? If so,
can we tag the other projects so that we can down-laod all of the relevant
code for a given release at any point in the future?
Gary.
