[icf-dev] WinCVS

Hello,

since two weeks I cannot update my repository with WinCVS. I always get

the message "connection reset by peer" which from my understanding

means, that the possenet server is kicking me. What is also strange, is

that if I look into my network monitoring tool, our network is totally

exhausted. Is there anybody else expierencing such problems.

My WinCVS version is 1.2.

Any help appreciated.

Yes I had the same. It was caused by the daylight saving time change -

seems that all files were marked as "different" compared to the central

repository.

The only way to resolve the problem was to select smaller parts to

download. So not "src" subdirectory in the treeview but "adm2", and

"icf/ry" and "icf/af", ... etc - depending on the number of files in the

subdirectories.

Maybe there are other ways, but this resolved the problem on my PC.

I ended up deleting the previously downloaded files and doing a new

download - this was much faster than doing an update.
