Deploying images for a Dynamics application

Hi all,

Progress v9.1D05

Dynamics v2.0A0201

I'm putting together a pilot client-side deployment of our application which

is to be run on WebClient. I'm using the new v2.0 utility 'Deploy Static Objects'

and have noticed that there are no images being deployed.

This stands to reason as the images aren't registered in the repository. My

question is how can I collect all of the images and put them into the correct

sub-directories? I under the understanding that these images cannot be added

to a Progress procedure library. Is this correct?

Another question is on how I might install WebClient and our Application on

a client PC. Ideally, I think that I want to make a new sub-directory below

"C:\Program Files" for our app's base directory. I then was planning to install

WebClient below that and also create the 'WebClientApps' directory in there

too. In this way, the users in the application's group would be set up to

have write permissions to our top level application directory (i.e.. C:\Program

File\Our App), and then any new updates could be written into sub-directories

thereof without requiring Administrator rights on the PC. What are your opinions?

Thirdly, how would you suggest I set up a test version of our application to

run on the same client PC that the current live version is running on?

Thank you,

Sam.
