[icf-dev] TAB Order in Dynamic Viewers

Posted by LegacyUser on 07-Mar-2003 00:51

Dear Peggers,

Dynamics V2, SP 01.

Windows 2000.

Can somebody please suggest how to change tab order for widgets in Dynamic Viewer?

If I change it thru property sheet of Dynamic Viewer in AppBuilder from 'Default' to let's say 'Left to right by columns' and save the viewer and close it, Next time I open the viewer and check it, it is changed back to default automatically.

TIA,

Anand.

Hi Anand,

Each field on the viewer has a dynamic property called 'Order' and you can

change the tab sequence of the fields by changing this order property

accordingly.

Does order field work with Dynamic lookups and Combos ?

I think not. I think this is an important issue we noticed already in Dynamics 2 on December. Technical support logged the issue as high priority. We were very surprised to notice that this problem was not fixed in Dynamics SP1 !!

But you can workaround this by running the procedure AdjustTabOrder in the

viewer super procedure.

Thanks Clare!

Nobody told me before that there is workaround and I did not spend much time to find any because I was very sure this problem would have been fixed very fast as most of the viewers have dynamic lookups and combos.

I tested AdjustTabOrder tab order and it works!

Now it will be much nicer to do Dynamcis demos!

Best regards,

-Veli-Matti
