Hello Dynamic Peggers,
Dynamics V2, SP 01
Windows 2000
Are you working on Dynamic Combos also? We are seeing some strange behavior from them. Everytime, I open an instance of any dynamic combo used in Dynamic Viewer, it tells me the instance copy differ from master, although I several times reloaded the original master properties.
Many times some Dynamic combo is loosing its instance properties in Dynamic Viewer. Even though recreation of instance is not solving the problem. I tried to delete master so that I could recreate it but it doesnot let me delete giving message 'Object instances exists for it'. I checked 'Object Instances' and 'Where Used' for Dynamic Combo Master in Repository Maintenance, but it shows nothing there?
Any help / suggestion would be appreciated.
Regards,
Puneet.

I have just fixed an issue that will get rid of that message when only the
SDF size is different. To get some more detail on what was fixed you can

Hello Mark,
Thanks very much for solving the issue. Hopefully we will get it in next SP of Dynamics. Any idea by when it will be available to us?
Could you also look at second paragraph of my original mail (below) about object instances of SDF. Why I am not able to delete SDF master? Is there something which I am doing wrong or something that I am missing out.
Regards,
Anand.

Hi,
All I can say is that the next SP will be out soon – you should check the
PosseNet web site or contact Progress for actual dates of this release.
To check where instances of your combo is used you should open the SDF
Maintenance window from the AppBuilder Build menu. Enter the name of your
combo in the SmartDataField lookup and tab off the field.
There should be a ‘Where Used’ button available on screen. Choosing this
button would show you where instances of this combo is used.
