Does anyone know how to remove the (Press HELP to view stack trace) from the
title
of message alert boxes. I also want to remove the help button.
This functionality is only within Progress installed with Dynamics, which is
great
during development, but not within a run time environment.

It has to be:
1. on the command line for the icon (-debug-alert)
2. In a .pf file (-debug-alert)
3. within the xml file session properties (debug-alert yes)
4. Set programmatically somewhere (I doubt that this is the case in your

Hi,
icfstart.p says in the beginning of main-block:

and later:
GetProfileData(debugalert)
SESSION:DEBUG-ALERT = debugalert <'NO'.
So:
By default it's YES.
You have to unset it.

Hi Mike,
If you run one of the Dynamics Menus (admin or Development) and select File, Preferences, there is an option to set the debug flag to no.

Ok guys ... thanks for all your info ....
Basically ....
I have no reference to debugalert anywhere ... except in the icfstart.p (don't know why it's set there ??).
I have set up a property for my session (selected from the defaults available) session_debug_alert with
a value of 'false' (i did try the value of no as well).
The session debug alert parameter is STILL set to yes !
How much more time does dynamics want of mine to do something so simple !!!
I'm going to hack icfstart.p if this takes any longer.

Does anyone know how to remove the (Press HELP to view stack trace) from the
title
of message alert boxes. I also want to remove the help button.
This functionality is only within Progress installed with Dynamics, which is
great
during development, but not within a run time environment.

Hi Mike,
If you run one of the Dynamics Menus (admin or Development) and select File,
Preferences, there is an option to set the debug flag to no.
HTH,
Peter

Ok guys ... thanks for all your info ....
Basically ....
I have no reference to debugalert anywhere ... except in the icfstart.p
(don't know why it's set there ??).
I have set up a property for my session (selected from the defaults
available) session_debug_alert with
a value of 'false' (i did try the value of no as well).
The session debug alert parameter is STILL set to yes !
How much more time does dynamics want of mine to do something so simple !!!
I'm going to hack icfstart.p if this takes any longer.
Mike
Another frustracted dynamics user !
