Double Click on Variable Problem

Posted by Admin on 17-Apr-2008 08:56

In OE Architect 10.1C in order to copy a variable name you are required to drag to highlight then copy, if you double click on the variable, the editor jumps to the line where the variable is defined, is there a setting in Architect that controls this behavior?

As a windows user where almost all applications allow you to double click to highlight this difference in the Architect editor is disconcerting... I have adjusted to the editor quirk however this feature does slow down the editing process...

I think you will find this discussed in this thread http://www.psdn.com/library/thread.jspa?threadID=5692&tstart=15 ... not that it will help any.

The OpenEdge Architect feature of double clicking to go to an include file or to the definition of a variable or temp-table was replaced in version 10.1C by holding down the CTRL key and hovering over the word/include path.

So double clicking a word now selects the word (like it should).
