SHIFT-TAB slow in OEA editor - OpenEdge Development - Forum

I'm experiencing a significant difference in responsiveness from the editor when using the SHIFT-TAB to move a tab back into my code.

Tabbing responds normally but with SHIFT-TAB I experience a halt.

Is anybody else experiencing this? Or am I missing out on a setting of some sort?

Any help greatly appreciated as it's one of my OEA annoyances.

Hi,

what kind of OpenEdge Version are you using?

I'#m on 10.2A01 and i can't see any difference between TAB and SHIFT-TAB.

Problem still exists after SP01. (sorry for late response, Spring break in Belgium)

But I found that having sources with 250 lines the SHIFT-TAB responds fair, but with 1500 lines it responds slow.

I tested it with some big Java sources (in Java Perspective) and there SHIFT-TAB is also slow, so I'd say it's an Eclipse problem.

Does anybody have a clue why SHIFT-TAB is handled differently from TAB in Eclipse?
