Would like to know if somebody has tried running OE Architect in Linux?

It *might* work in wine although I doubt it, and I have never tried it
It absolutely will not work on anything but windows. The licensing informatoin isn't yet available on Linux, and there are parts of the OEA plugins that rely on windows specific functionality such as the registry and the class browser relies on a dll that is windows only.
me I can use with no problem on Linux but ... over vmware
