Use of Sonic in OpenEdge Architect?

Ok, ESD is down, no answer when it's going up, so I'm using this channel here.

When I'm not completely mistaking, OpenEdge Management and OpenEdge Explorer do use sonic already in master/slave configurations for remote monitoring. If that's the case, Sonic MQ is already part of most OpenEdge development licenses. Why not use that as the foundation for the communication between Eclipse and the AVM?

The current socket base communication sucks.

1.) When the AVM is budy (i.e. loading the Visual Designer) you can't instruct OEA to do something like a compile job. With Sonic this could be queued up.

2.) The communication is likely to break when you have trouble with networks, like a VPN dial-in or a busy WLAN. You'll have to restart the AVM and in some cases the whole OEA. I'm hoping that this would be more reliable with Sonic as well.

Any thoughts on that?
