Are Rq Wait and Duration available via the VSTs?

Posted by Admin on 25-Jan-2007 19:49

wtbman ... -q gives a summary of Webspeed Agents and Average/Max request wait time and processing duration.

Is there any way to access these times apart from wtbman (and Progress Explorer)?

Is there a VST File/Field that has this info?

Also is there a way to reset this data without restarting the broker?

E.g. an equivalent of proutil zerostats

Thanks, Stephen.

HI Stephen,

VST's are database specific. They show information about the database tables and indexes and similar.

wtbman connects to the admin server and fetches the request information from there. There is no way to reset it other than stopping and restarting the broker that you are requesting the information for.

It's true that VSTs are db specific but that's really just an "implementation detail". The concept of getting system information via something that behaves like a VST is very attractive -- as is demonstrated by the fact that people keep wanting to use them to do such things.
