Progress Explorer Tool 10.2A

Posted by christophe.mabileau on 24-Aug-2009 02:47

Hello,

we've just install the 10.2A (previous version 10.1B) and we have some troubles.

  1. on the log of the databases, there's this kind of message "Error 0: 'Opération réussie.' while attempting to connect to AdminServer at...."

  2. on the progress explorer tool, the status of the databases is "not running" but it's wrong. So we can't stop them. We have to kill the process on our server.

Is it a configuration problem?

Does anybody have the same problem?

Thk

Is the 10.1B AdminService still running at the same time and on the same port?

No, only the AdminService for OpenEdge 10.2A is running.

Have you restarted the machine after shutting down and disabling the 10.1B AdminService?

The guy, who's made the install, had not restarted the server after shutting down the 10.1B AdminService.

OK restart the machine and try again.

P.S. Is it windoze or *nix?

It's Windows Server 2003 (with automatic updates!!!!!!) So, the machine was restarted the previous week at 3.00 and we still have the problem.
