Welcome to the Programming in the Progress 4GL PSDN Forum!
The June 2003 issue of PSDN News pointed to an article by Bloor Research Analyst, Phil Howard about 4GLs making a comeback. In my opinion such article brings to the forefront very interesting findings for some, although not new to the Progress community!: The value of getting the job done versus marquee messaging of tools from others; caring about the standards you care about, not living by them; using the right tool for the job of programming logic for business applications, etc.
We want to hear from you, the Progress community. What are your thoughts about the 4GL's holding power?
