TWO Things:
FIRST
yes there is an Open dialogue box. But once Progress has a 'run dialogue' box that is able to read & run indipendent programs as well as those in libraries, that would be equivalent to transforming oneself from being a mortal to an immortal!. The power would be enormous!.
SECOND
Distribution. Free or easier application distribution. Something that would have the power enjoyed by visual basic applications and the .exe format WHICH DOES NOT REQUIRE THE CUSTOMER TO BUY VIASUAL BASIC BUT JUST THE APPLICATION. This suggests compact applications (small FOOTPRINT) and run-time environments. It suggests versions of progress where multiple APPLICATION installations are allowed without fear of violeting product licences by using SPECIAL licences (WHICH THE DEVELOPER BUYS ONE TIME ONLY - AND FORGETS!) allowing such multiple installations. And the list goes on.
I HATE 'fishy' installations or STEALING!. So help me...!
