new UI developments

Posted by Admin on 15-Jun-2006 10:35

I heard a few month ago about the research that was taken on the new 4GL UI and its integration inside the Progress development envrionment.

I listened to the 2006 Progress Exchange interview that was made on that topic.

We are of course vry interested on that topic. And we would like to get some more information about it.

We would like to know if previews are operationnal and/or presentations available on PSDN (or some other places).

We would like to know aswell when beta will be available on this area.

Please keep us informed, as this is a very sensitive area, as far as Progress env and Progress evolution is concerned. And this is an important factor for end-users and the market, as most of our competitors have already migrated to .Net UI.

Hi Sylvestre,

If you haven't already, you might want to look at this presentation on PSDN that was done at Exchange:

Thanks Phillip ... for providing me with this link.

Interesting presentation but no screenshots and no video of the visual éditor presentation.

What about the time this "update" will be made available at least inside a beta program ?

The proposed updates to the ABL look pretty exciting. But that document is over a year old now, and I can't seem to find any recent info about the progress. Are we going to see it anytime soon?
