Can anyone predict what result the following code will show?

I failed totally and lost an hour trying to find the error which was a weird peculiarityof ABL
Can anyone explain what that peculiarity is for?

Look at the "; Special character" section in the Help (I ran into this a couple of years ago, and also struggled with it).
