Using the input from os-dir(<<dir>>) - is there any documentation on the order of the files being returned ?
I have been running tests all day , with various filenames and it _always_ comes out in alphabetical order.
Which is a good thing for my purposes - if it didn't then I'd have to go down the road of creating temp-tables and passing them around (because I need to recursively descend into sub directories)
Have I just been lucky today ?
Yes you have been lucky. Input from OS-DIR does not always return the result in alphabetical order. See KB 000035975 for details.
