Problems with PROCESS EVENTS and .NET Controls?

Posted by Steve Croff on 20-May-2009 15:17

Are there any known problems associated with using PROCESS EVENTS in ABL classes that use .NET objects?

We are experiencing random prowin32 crashes when using a PROCESS EVENTS statement with various .NET controls (ultraGrid, ProgressBar, etc)

Randomly, prowin32.exe will crash with no error or log of the error-- it just quits.  After removing PROCESS EVENTS, the problems appear to go away.

Hi Steve,

I did not find any reported issues with PROCESS EVENTS and the GUI for .NET. Please log a bug with tech support.

I had the same issue and removed all of my PROCESS EVENTS from my .NET UI.

OE00186641 was fixed on July 9, 2009 and the fix was first available in 10.2A02 and 10.2B. Are you having a similar problem?

The fix for this issue is available in 10.2A02, 10.2B releases. Are you still experiencing this issue? If yes, can you please let us know the OpenEdge version you are using.

Thanks and Regards,

Anil Kumar.
