SYSTEM ERROR: lkrels record 589939478 not locked.

OE 10.2B08, Windows.

This database has recently been dumped and loaded into Type II storage areas. They are regularly getting

SYSTEM ERROR: lkrels record 589939478 not locked.

in the DB log file.

I've run an idxcheck over the weekend and am getting no errors reported (unless I'm looking in the wrong place - I don't know what to look for for idxcheck errors)

Any ideas as to the cause, or what I can look at?

Thanks.

It's NOT a db corruption. "lkrels record 589939478 not locked" is an issue with release lock protocol.

You can check all tables in all areas that have a record with recid 589939478. It will give you a clue which tables are locked. Try to reduce the lock contention for these tables.

Thanks George. Is it possible it's related to ODBC updates of records?

Can be.

Our customers running 10.2B with latest service pack and hotfix are getting a lot of "lkrels record not locked" errors. They simply ignore these errors.
