Hello everyone,

Progress V.9.1D reached 256GB 4k block size in our database you 32-bit structure. Database does not served and Progress does not respond to a command(*). We can't intervene and you do not have previous online backup to backup the last 10 days. Is there one that may give help? Or experience when faced with this situation.

* SYSTEM ERROR: Attempt to read block 32 which does not exist. (210)

Thank you.

As this is more a database related question, I'm moving this thread in our OE RDBMS group.

It is a good idea to make an OS backup of the db files first before trying anything

Then you can try to access with RO parameter or force access to run a D and L

... and you'd need to load to a new storage area structure (more storage areas) so as not to hit the limit again.

We're back to the old backup database.

Thanks everyone..

If you're back on your 10 day old backup, you're likely to hit the maxarea limit again for Type I storage areaa  (256GB 4k block size, 32 rpb).  You really need to plan a dump from this storage area in to new storage areas asap.
