Queries Regarding PRO2 Replication Tool

I need some details regarding PRO2  replication Tool , Please help me for my below queries - 1) Is PRO2 compatible to Open Edge 11.4 RDBMS ? 2) What is the infrasturcture required for installation . 3) What is the licencing cost for it ?

Hi -

   For # 1 - yes - it is compatible with 11.4.  For # 2 and 3 I would suggest you talk to your pre-sales Systems Engineer or Sales Person regarding Pro2.  They can answer all of the questions you have asked above.  Additionally, here is a link to information for the Pro2 product:  www.progress.com/.../openedge-pro2.

1. yes.

2. depending on which sql-type database you want to replicate to (ms sql or oracle) the requirements differ. you need a data server license to the respective target and you need to be running the respective database engine with capacity to add the database that you’re planning to replicate.
3. please call our sales department. i have no idea about the pricing, and the sales guys aren’t reading technical forums. more info from http://www.pro2sql.com
