-preFetchFactor 100 in pf fails?

Posted by James Palmer on 18-Jun-2015 04:42

Running 11.2, testing larger -Mm and -preFetchFactor.

When I start my database I get

10:34:51 SERVER   : You have not supplied a parameter for argument -e. (1403)

My pf:

-db E:\Database\Live\icmasliv.db
-preFetchFactor 100

Just wanted to check I'm not doing something stupid before I raise a support request?

Case is important.  It is -prefetchFactor

-prefetchFactor not -preFetchFactor and it works. Grrr. The 11.2 documentations is wrong.

From the 11.2 docs:

Prefetch factor (-prefetchFactor)

Use Prefetch Factor (-preFetchFactor) to establish a percentage of a network

message required to contain prefetched data before sending the message to a waiting

remote client.

Same in the 11.5 docs. Will raise a documentation bug.
